NioCorp Announces Final Increase in Non-Brokered Private Placement
CENTENNIAL, Colo. – February 10, 2017 – NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the "Company”) (TSX: NB, OTCQX: NIOBF, FSE: BR3) is pleased to announce, further to its January 27, 2017 announcement of a non-brokered private placement of Units at a price of C$0.70 per Unit (the “Offering”), that it has increased the maximum gross proceeds of the Offering to C$4.75 million from the original maximum of C$2.0 million.
The initial closing of the Offering is expected on or about February 14, 2017 and is subject to certain conditions including, but not limited to, the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals including the approval of the Toronto Stock Exchange. NioCorp is developing a superalloy materials project in Southeast Nebraska with an aim to produce Niobium, Scandium, and Titanium. Niobium is used to produce superalloys as well as High Strength, Low Alloy ("HSLA") steel, which is a lighter, stronger steel used in automotive, structural, and pipeline applications. Scandium is a superalloy material that can be combined with Aluminum to make alloys with increased strength and improved corrosion resistance. Scandium also is a critical component of advanced solid oxide fuel cells.
